Annual Events

Museum Day
September

In September we host our biggest event of the year, Museum Day, welcoming hundreds of visitors each year. The event features a classic car show, a pie-baking contest, raffles, kids’ crafts, and a delicious pulled pork lunch. The event continues to be a highlight of the year, and we often hear from many local attendees that it was their first visit to the museum.

Our Night at the Museum program in February for local 4th grade students is a favorite for the students and our volunteers. As the students are led through the darkened museum, exhibits come to life with the help of our volunteers, who portray historical figures and share the stories of each display.

CHristmas Open House
December

Our Christmas Open House in early December brings in visitors to celebrate the season. Guests enjoy festive decorations, refreshments, and the opening of The Art Center’s annual Member’s Show & Sale. Santa comes every year, too, to hand out gifts and pose for photos. The event is always a wonderful way to close out the year at the museum!
